| Personal History | Raised by the senior staff on Deep Space Nine, following the deaths of her parents in a shuttle accident, Charlotte never really appreciated how much that would turn her future path, most might have expected her to go into the engineering field or maybe avoid Starfleet all together but having been trained by some of the best she went for marine training partly because she wanted to protect people but also because it was a way of seeing what was out there. She got her wish as her first posting was to Deep Space Four on the frontiers of Federation space, here she made a name for herself as she explored, discovered and fought with a small marine squad trying their best to embody the mission statement of Starfleet. Deep Space Four would give way to Ghost Station and for Charlotte bring the first challenge of her career, administrative duties, however despite her own reservations about the nature of the bases mission it was a posting that would shape her approach, change it, rather than be the hammer she became the scalpel. She wasn't the friendliest of person, butting heads with many an authority figure, but when push came to shove in the Zaj incident's aftermath she sacrificed her own career rather than put others on the metaphorical chopping block. Drummed out of Starfleet, Charlotte set up as a supply runner to former Romulan worlds, rendering what aid she could along with a small crew aboard the Yi-Sun-Sin. She was subsequently called back to Starbase Obsidian on a transport run and ended up getting her commission back, she now once again serves as Marine CO. |
